Acacia (Acacia confusa)
Commonly used part: Root bark
Acacia confusa or acacia petit feuille, small Philippine acacia, Formosa acacia (Taiwan acacia) and Formosan koa, is a perennial tree native to Southeast Asia. The tree grows to a height of 15m and is commonly found in tropical Pacific areas, including Hawaii. In Burma, Laos and Thailand, the feathery shoots of Acacia are used in soups, curries, omelettes and stir-fries. The bark may be ground into a powder and saturated into water to create a tea, or may be spread onto various foods as a spice and taste enhancer. In Taiwan, the plant is used in traditional Chinese medicine for use in traumatic injuries, including ulcers, bleeding gums, canker sores, sore throats and skin diseases. The acacia plant has numerous phytochemicals which may have health benefits, including the inhibition of catabolic deamination.
We started producing Extract capsules because of the growing demand of stronger herbal products. Of a plain plant powder a mild dose is 3-5 grams which translates to 7 to 14 capsules (400 mg per capsule). Extract capsules contain 75% extract. Extract capsules have 500mg of extract/flower blend which makes it 375mg of extract and 125mg of Blue Lotus flower powder as a binder.
All extracts that we use for making extract capsules are sticky and some are even runny when they are completely dehydrated. That’s why we blend 75% resin extract with 25% Blue Lotus flower powder to make it possible to pulverise the extract and fill it into capsules.
Our extract capsules can be consumed in different ways.Orally: 1-2 extract caps is a mild dose. 3-4 extract caps is a medium dose 5-6 extract caps is a strong dose. When consumed orally it works much better to open the capsule and put the content under your tongue (sublingual). A lot of water should be consumed along with taking extract capsules. Dehydration and a headache can appear otherwise. The extract capsules can be opened and the content can be smoked! You can also dissolve the content in warm water, wine or vodka. If you like you can mix the content of the capsules with food like salad or a smoothie. But please note that the sublingual consumption of the powder inside the capsule works most effective!
